Eminent Faculty Award
The Washington State University Eminent Faculty Award
was first presented in 2000. This award is the
university's highest faculty honor and will include a
monetary award of $15,000. The criteria for the Eminent
Faculty Award are as follows:
- Recipient must be a full-time Washington State
University faculty member;
- Recipient must have served the university for a
minimum of ten years;
- Recipient must have changed the thinking in his or
her field by making lasting contributions through
teaching, research, creative scholarship, and service;
and
- Recipient must have contributed notably to the
vitality and strength of the Washington State
University Community.
The Provost will chair a committee that will include
the previous Eminent Faculty Award Winner and
distinguished emeriti faculty. They will review
nominations and make a recommendation to the
President.
