PULLMAN, Wash.—Instructors using general use classrooms (GUC) equipped with resident computer will now have access to full package applications, as opposed to the limited versions previously installed.

Resident computers are complete desktop setups at the podium in the GUC classrooms (A monitor, computer, keyboard, and mouse).  The upgrade does not apply to classrooms only equipped with electronic classroom controls, such as many of the rooms in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE).

The move by Academic Media Services (AMS) is in response to feedback from faculty and instructors.  By implementing a more robust system with increased functionality, users have the opportunity to make learning more interactive and engaging.

Individualized training is available year round for instructors interested in familiarizing themselves with all the available features in GUC’s.  For more information call 335-5044 or visit http://ams.wsu.edu.
