On behalf of the Washington State University community, we are proud to honor our U.S. military veterans on Veterans Day and every day.

There are 1,031 veterans currently attending WSU system-wide, and thousands more faculty, staff, alumni and community members who served our country. We are deeply grateful for their selfless service and the many sacrifices they’ve made to protect the freedoms we enjoy.

I encourage those of you in Pullman to join the ASWSU Student Veterans Committee on today for the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the top of Terrell Mall, outside the CUB. The event will begin at 11:50 a.m. as a flag procession and bagpipers will lead attendees down the mall to the Veterans Memorial where a short program will take place. Light refreshments and warm beverages will be offered following the program. The event is open to everyone.

We are proud to serve our veteran students and appreciate the perspective and experience they add to our communities. Please join me in thanking our veterans for their service to our country.

Sincerely,

Dan Bernardo

Provost and Executive Vice President
