Dear Colleagues,
The end of a semester and finals can be a stressful timeframe for our students for many reasons, including the added pressure of preparing for finals. As such, we would like to take the opportunity to remind you of some of the key resources we have available.
Stress can impact physical and mental health. Health and Wellness Services and Counseling and Psychological Services are available with advice and workshops about stress reduction, self-care, and general health care. For more information, students can visit hws.wsu.edu/programs-outreach.
After hours, students can call the Counseling and Psychological Services crisis line at 509-335-2159 or the Jed Foundation hotline at 800-273-8255. The Jed Foundation is committed to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide.
The following offices on the WSU Pullman campus are also available to provide support, information, and referrals:

Please remind your students, if they ever feel that their safety is threatened, they should call 911 immediately.
Each of us has the opportunity to make a difference for someone else in our community by simply extending care and kindness. As we approach the holiday season, please remember that “Cougs helping Cougs” is more than a slogan; it is truly an expression of who we are.
Thank you for being that Coug!

Sincerely,

Dan Bernardo
