WSU faculty members talk on the phone with prospective students during the College Call-a-thon
Faculty members talk on the phone with prospective students during the College Call-a-thon.

Washington State University is attracting many high-achieving students from across the nation, and faculty are pitching in to convince them to become Cougars.

Throughout the last few weeks, dozens of faculty members worked the phones to chat with Top Scholars, who’ve been admitted to WSU. The Office of Admissions and Recruitment is tapping into the power of faculty for its College Call-a-thon. Professors, associate deans and deans were at the office’s call center, talking with high school students about their dreams and goals for college, and the many excellent opportunities WSU provides.

The College Call-a-thon is the latest initiative of the Office of Admissions and Recruitment’s comprehensive recruitment plan for Top Scholars – students who earned higher than a 3.7 cumulative GPA in high school and have qualifying test scores. The efforts align with the Drive to 25 goal of increasing the number of national merit and achievement scholars at WSU.

Thank you to the many faculty members who’ve given their own time to help prospective students realize the value of WSU. Our faculty are the heart of WSU and we appreciate your commitment to our students’ success.

Go Cougs!
