Resources for our students

The end of a semester and finals can be a stressful timeframe for our students. As such, I would like to take the opportunity to remind you of some of the key resources we have available.

Stress can impact physical and mental health. Health and Wellness Services and Counseling and Psychological Services are available to students at all of our WSU campuses.

After hours, students can call the Jed Foundation hotline at (800) 273-8255. The Jed Foundation is committed to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide.

The following offices on our campuses are also available to provide support, information, and referrals:

Pullman

Spokane

Tri-Cities

Vancouver

Global Campus

Everett

Additionally, none of our students should experience discrimination or harassment at WSU. If you, a colleague, or student witness discriminatory behavior or harassment, please contact the Office for Equal Opportunity at (509) 335-8288 for assistance. Please remind your students, if they ever feel that their safety is threatened, they should call 911 immediately.

Each of us has the opportunity to make a difference for someone else in our community, by simply extending care and kindness. As we approach the holiday season, please remember that “Cougs helping Cougs” is more than a slogan; it is truly an expression of who we are.
