Faculty and staff joined us on the WSU Pullman, Everett, Spokane, Tri-Cities, or Vancouver campus, and on Zoom. Lunch was be provided for in-person participants. Dr. Rakha is a faculty member in the Department of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences and the coordinator of the B.A. in Education program. She has 30 years of teaching experience spanning the K\u2013higher education arc. Dr. Rakha is also a member of the WSU Teaching Academy. Her session, <em>\u201cA Space to Thrive: Daring to Create Learning Communities Grounded in an Ethic of Care,\u201d<\/em> will generate new ideas and practical strategies you can implement right away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-spacing-after--default\">Early <strong>afternoon workshops<\/strong> were led by experts across the WSU System. Denial from WSU Libraries at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The book is this year&#8217;s selection for the <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/teaching-academy\/book-club\/\">WSU Teaching Academy Book Club<\/a>. The club is designed to help participants develop teaching skills and meet and network with others to exchange perspectives and examine topics.
