The Washington State University Teaching Academy<\/a> welcomed 21 faculty from four campuses to its membership roster<\/a> at an April 15 induction ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are pleased with the exceptional teaching accomplishments of our newest members, and the breadth of their disciplines will add greatly to the scope of our organization,\u201d said Kate Watts, academy chair. \u201cWe look forward to the new members\u2019 energy and enthusiasm, and to the many contributions they will make to the academy and to teaching effectiveness, professionalism, and scholarship at WSU.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WSU Teaching Academy is made up of educators across the university who share advocacy, expertise, and resources to help faculty engage students in transformative learning experiences that lead to their academic success. Watts thanked the membership committee and its chair, Sarah Whitley, for evaluating membership nominations and applications this year. The most recent previous induction of new members was in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
