{"id":2071,"date":"2025-10-14T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/teaching-academy\/?p=2071"},"modified":"2025-10-17T16:09:37","modified_gmt":"2025-10-18T00:09:37","slug":"applications-open-for-conference-registration-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/teaching-academy\/2025\/10\/14\/applications-open-for-conference-registration-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Applications open for Conference Registration Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thanks to generous support from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/teaching-academy\/\">WSU Teaching Academy<\/a>, WSU&nbsp;faculty and instructors can&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/provost.wsu.edu\/teaching-academy\/grants-and-awards\/teaching-conference-registration-award\/\">apply for funding to support teaching conference expenses<\/a>&nbsp;over the upcoming year. These awards cover the cost of registration fees to attend a conference\/meeting\/workshop that will directly enhance the applicant\u2019s classroom teaching and\/or scholarship of teaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligibility requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must be a current,&nbsp;full-time&nbsp;WSU&nbsp;faculty member at the rank of lecturer or higher at the time of application. They do not have to be members of the WSU Teaching Academy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The conference\/meeting\/workshop must take place between July\u00a01,\u00a02025, and June\u00a030,\u00a02026.\n<ul>\n<li>Applications for conferences that have already occurred are acceptable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recipients of the award must agree to present a \u201ctakeaway\u201d from their conference attendance to the WSU teaching community in support of WSU\u2019s ongoing peer development teaching initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All applications will be reviewed by a committee and competitively rated based on how attendance enhances the teaching of the applicant.
