Kristina Peterson-Wilson

Kristina Peterson-Wilson joined the Provost’s Office in 2015 and has since served in various administrative leadership roles. In 2023, she accepted an expanded position as the Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Chief of Staff. In this role, Kristina oversees the academic administration, communication, financial, media, and operations personnel in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President. She also serves as the primary contact for the Board of Regents, President’s Office, Attorney General’s Office, Human Resource Services, and Government Relations.

As a principal advisor and strategic partner to the System Provost, Kristina is responsible for executing short, medium, and long-term strategic initiatives to ensure organizational effectiveness and alignment with system priorities. She provides strategic guidance, counsel, and support to the units reporting to the Office of the Provost, particularly in strategic planning, communications, change management, policy analysis, organizational structures, and budget alignment.

Kristina received WSU’s Administrative Professional Contribution Award in 2017 and the Crimson Spirit Award in 2022.
