It’s important to be clear what the policies are for any class, specific assignment, and/or activity if the guidelines will vary. Individual instructors need to clearly communicate expectations for their classroom.
Executive Policy 8 prohibits the inclusion of legally protected or regulated data (e.g., proprietary, personally identifiable information, HIPAA, FERPA) in queries provided to generative AI platforms like ChatGPT.
