OFFICE OF ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENTCrimson Community Grants
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and out of concern for our students, Crimson Community Grants has increased its eligibility threshold.
Through support from BECU, WSU, and private donors, both undergraduate and graduate students, system-wide who are experiencing a financial emergency, may be eligible for a Crimson Community Grant between $200-$1000.
Eligibility is as follows:
- EFC at or below $10,000
- Washington State Resident
- Undergraduate or Graduate student enrolled on any WSU campus
Crimson Community Grants support Washington State University students enduring a financial hardship by providing emergency grant aid between $200 and $1000. Financial stress and crises can have significant negative impacts on students’ wellbeing, on their ability to be engaged and successful, and even on their ability to continue pursuing their education. Crimson Community Grants supports students through a financial emergency inhibiting their ability to stay academically engaged by providing this emergency funding, as well as peer-to-peer mentoring, post-emergency advising, individualized budgeting, and resources based on the student’s situation.
Enrollment is based on income level and meeting the requirements of the program.
For more information, please contact Project Director, Kelly Demand.
Crimson Community Grants are funded by Washington State University, corporate partners including BECU, and private individual donors from our WSU community.
