Vice Provosts

Kristina Peterson-Wilson initially joined the Provost’s Office in 2015 and has served in a variety of administrative leadership roles. In 2023, Kristina accepted an expanded position to serve as the Vice Provost for Academic Administration and Chief of Staff.  She is responsible for academic administration, operations, communications, and initiatives in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President.  She serves as a principal advisor and strategic partner to the System Provost.

Kristina is responsible for the execution of short, medium, and long-term strategic initiatives for the Provost’s Office to ensure organizational effectiveness.  She oversees the administrative team, manages the degree approval process, and executes the annual performance review and administrative five-year review process for academic leadership.  She also serves as the Provost’s Office primary contact for the Board of Regents, President’s Office, Attorney General’s Office, Human Resource Services, and Government Relations.

Kristina received WSU’s Administrative Professional Contribution Award in 2017 and the Crimson Spirit Award in 2022.
