Chris Hoyt
Chris Hoyt serves as Chief of Staff to the President, a position she has held since December 2016. She is a member of the president’s cabinet and provides leadership for the president’s office staff and its operations and interacts, both internally and externally, with the broad university community. Chris provides direction on a wide array of institutional policy matters and initiatives to help advance the mission of the university, including her recent leadership in creating WSU’s first system strategic plan.
Chris began her career in the president’s office as a student and worked her way up to her current position. She served in the past as a Director of Development for the Oregon-based non-profit, Adelante Mujeres, as a Farmer’s Market manager in Forest Grove, Oregon, and as a board member for Pullman Civic Trust. She currently serves as a board member for the Pullman Downtown Association and sits on several WSU committees.
She holds a bachelor of arts in Humanities (with an emphasis in Spanish) from Washington State University and a juris doctor from the University of Idaho.
