Rebecca Van de Vord

Dr. Rebecca Van de Vord is Assistant Vice President and Director of Learning Innovations for Washington State University’s Academic Outreach and Innovation. The work of the Learning Innovations team focuses on supporting faculty in the effective implementation of academic technology to promote student success. In addition, Rebecca is committed to fostering instructional methods and faculty professional development initiatives that enhance student access, success and retention. Rebecca completed her MA and Ph.D. in WSU’s Murrow College of Communication as well as a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design also from Washington State University.  She worked several years as an instructional designer for online classes and one year as Special Assistant to the Provost for Student Success. Rebecca’s research and publications have focused on media and information literacy and more recently the student success in the online environment.
