NACADA keynote address simulcast at WSU

 

Shane J. Lopez to deliver address May 20

The WSU First Scholars program invites faculty, staff and advisors to the keynote address of the Kansas State/National Academic Advising Association Summer Undergraduate Academic Advising Institute on Wednesday, May 20 at 11:45 a.m.

Shane J. Lopez, Gallup Senior Scientist and author of Making Hope Happen, will speak on “Higher Education’s Six Sigma.” The address will be available via live simulcast in CUE 202.

Lopez is the Research Director of the Clifton Strengths Institute and chief architect of the Gallup Student Poll, a measure of hope, engagement and wellbeing that taps into the hearts and minds of U.S. public school students to determine what drives achievement. He researches the links between hope, strengths development, academic success and overall wellbeing and collaborates with scholars on these issues.
